ARCADE BAG
CALLING ALL GAYMERS!
This convertible bag—designed for the Trixie Cosmetics Gaymer Collection—features custom 3D modeled arcade token hardware and two interchangeable strap designs.
INITIAL CONCEPTS
Concept A: Circuit board inspired.
Concept B: 8-Bit Belongings: items that would typically be found in a purse but illustrated in an 8-bit format to make the items appear like they’re from a game.
Concept C: Pixel Trix: 8-Bit/pixel art illustrations inspired by Pixel Chix/Tamagatchi toys. Entirety of bottom window is a digital world inspired by standard PC house and Trixie’s drag studio.
Concept D: Arcade Rug inspired.
ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Additional exploration of the arcade rug concept with feminized color palette.
It was decided that we would pursue Concept D with slightly updated elements and an updated color palette to incorporate more pinks and make it feel less “masculine.” Additionally, the ticket-themed strap design was created at this stage of development.
Ultimately, we would move forward with a transparent bag with no design in the window but it would be sold with two versions of the bag strap and custom hardware.
